Headteacher Welcome

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our school—a vibrantcaring and ambitious community where every young person is valued, supported and inspired to succeed and to be themselves. As proud members of the Kingfisher Schools Trust, we are rooted in the belief that we achieve more when we work together.

Achieving Success Together is not just our mission; it’s the spirit that shapes every classroom, every conversation and every opportunity we create for our pupils.

At the heart of our work lies the Trust’s vision: a commitment to Opportunity, Community and Excellence. We want every child who walks through our doors to feel a sense of possibility—to know that they belong, that they are capable, and that their future is full of choices, not chances. Through expert teaching, strong relationships and an inclusive culture, we help our pupils grow in confidence, curiosity and independence.

Our school is a place where young people are encouraged to take risks, explore ideas and learn from mistakes in a safe and supportive environment. We believe deeply in the power of community, and we work hard to ensure that every child feels connected, respected and understood. We value our partnerships with families, local organisations and the wider community, knowing that together we can open doors to enriching experiences that broaden horizons and spark ambition.

The school continues to evolve and strengthen following its recent Ofsted inspection, with an exciting period of growth and development ahead. Over the next 12 months, we will embark on several significant projects that will benefit both our pupils and the wider community. This includes a major 300-place expansion with a new school building, creating modern, high-quality spaces for teaching and learning.

In addition, we are proud to be working in partnership with the FA, Stowmarket Rugby Club and Stowmarket Striders to enhance local sports provision. Together, we will support the development of a new astroturf pitch and a full-size athletics track on our site—facilities that will enrich the school experience for our pupils and offer lasting benefits to the community we serve.

Alongside our trust values, our Stowmarket RISE values (RespectIntegritySuccess and Empathy) sit at the centre of everyday life in school. They guide how we treat one another, how we learn together, and how we contribute to our community. We expect our pupils to be kind, honest, and responsible; to take pride in their environment; and to strive to be the very best version of themselves. These values help shape confident, compassionate young people who are ready to thrive both now and in the future.

Whether you are visiting us for the first time or have been part of our community for many years, I hope you feel the warmth, purpose and passion that make our school such a special place. We are incredibly proud of our pupils—their achievements, their character, and their willingness to rise to every challenge—and we look forward to working with you to ensure they continue to flourish.

Welcome to our community.

Together, we achieve success.

So do pop by and see us
